Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Managing Broker. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of Affordable Housing and Leasing properties, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage a dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the brokerage.
- Conduct training sessions and provide ongoing support to agents.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new clients.
- Handle and escalate client issues and complaints.
- Review and approve real estate contracts and transactions.
- Oversee all operational responsibilities of the brokerage including the company’s MLS listings and all real estate transactions
- Ensure the brokerage and agents are adhering to all company policies and procedures and abiding by all state and national Fair Housing and real-estate laws
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in real estate, business administration, or a related field.
- Valid real estate broker license.
- Extensive experience as a real estate agent or broker.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong understanding of real estate laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- minimum 7+ years real estate sales or broker experience, including 3 years of management experience.
- High level of technical proficiency in real estate contract knowledge.
- Applicants must have HUD experience
- LIHTC Certification, preferred
- Must have experience in Section 8 voucher submission, tax-credit
- Three years of multi-family residential management experience – minimum two years of Subsidized Housing/Section 8
- Knowledge of Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD") rules and regulations
- Knowledge of laws and standards that apply to property management, such as Fair Housing Laws, Landlord-Tenant Laws, OSHA Standards, local and state building codes
